Splendid pair of French walnut marble top side cabinets c.1900. Ideal as bedside cabinets or as lamp tables either side of a sofa perhaps. Original and particularly attractively figured marble tops with serpentine shaped and moulded edges. Over cupboard doors with small drawers above and below. A true pair with left and right hand opening doors. Pronounced bombe shape to the sides and front of the cabinets, accentuated by the deep carved detail to the front stiles and curving legs. Carved door and drawer fronts all retaining the original and good quality brass knobs. Shaped apron with carved tails to the front and sides. Moulded legs with scroll carved feet. Some old damage to the marbles, one has been broken and repaired though the repairs are well hidden in the grain.
