Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

FAQs

Designed by William Moorcroft in the mid-1920s, the Eventide pattern features stylized trees against a warm sunset landscape. It represents a key motif of the English Arts and Crafts movement, transitioning into the early Art Deco era with its rich tonal glazes and organic forms.

The vessel is constructed from lead-glazed earthenware utilizing the hand-applied tubelining process to outline the design. The collar is fashioned from hammered pewter, a metal accessory frequently produced by Tudric for Liberty & Co to complement Moorcroft ceramics.

Authentic pieces generally feature impressed factory marks, such as MOORCROFT and MADE IN ENGLAND, alongside a hand-written painted artist signature or initials on the base. The presence of detailed tubelining and clear glaze crazing also aligns with production methods of this era.

A decorative art pottery vase functions as a focal point on a wooden sideboard, console table, or shelving unit. Its rich earth tones pair well with natural timber, brushed metals, and muted neutral wall palettes.

Dust the ceramic body gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth, avoiding immersive washing to protect any glaze crazing or porous earthenware. The pewter rim should be wiped lightly without abrasive cleaners or metal polishes to preserve its natural patina and prevent chemical contact with the glazed ceramic.
