We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

This Daum Art Deco vase belongs to the 1930 period, exemplifying the distinctive glamour of the era. The piece consists of blown glass and acid-etched glass in a grey colourway, complemented by an octagonal black glass foot at the base. The vessel displays frosted acid-etched horizontal ribs running continuously from top to bottom, a flared rim, and a signature from Daum Nancy France accompanied by the Cross of Lorraine. The dimensions measure 35 cm high and 13 cm wide. Positioned on a sideboard top, the vase provides a decorative display for a dining room or living area interior. The form integrates cleanly into period and modern room settings alike, serving as a functional vessel for floral arrangements or standing alone as a glass art object. The original condition remains intact, preserving the decorative ribbed surface and dark foot for daily appreciation.

Art Deco glass produced by Daum in Nancy transitioned from intricate floral Art Nouveau styles to geometric, heavily textured, and acid-etched forms during the 1920s and 1930s.

These pieces frequently utilise heavy lead glass or acid-etched blown glass, often set on contrasting black glass or moulded metal bases.

Authentic items generally exhibit acid-etched or wheel-cut maker marks near the lower rim or base, accompanied by heavy visual density and precise geometric patterns.

Placing a textured glass vase on a credenza or near natural light sources allows light to filter through the etched surface and highlight its geometric profile.

Clean glass gently using lukewarm water and mild detergent, avoiding abrasive cloths or extreme temperature fluctuations that may cause thermal stress.
