FAQs

Moorcroft pottery was founded by William Moorcroft in the late 19th century, with the Pomegranate pattern introduced during the early 20th century, heavily influenced by the Arts and Crafts movement.

Moorcroft pieces are crafted from clay and decorated using the distinctive tubelining technique, where raised outlines are applied by hand before vibrant hand-painted glazes are added.

Authentic pieces typically feature hand-painted signatures, impressed factory marks, and sometimes initialed ciphers alongside distinct tubelined detailing under a high-gloss glaze.

Position the vase on a stable surface such as a mantelpiece, bookshelf, or side table where natural light can enhance the depth of the glaze and intricate surface patterns.

Dust gently with a dry, soft cloth and avoid using chemical cleaners, immersion in water, or placing the piece in direct sunlight to protect the fragile glaze.
