Vicky Thomas Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.

The cabinet comprises of two shelves with openwork sides, over a two door cupboard.
The wood has been ebonised, and bands of gilding run throughout to highlight the sides and structure of the cabinet, and it is on the two door panels that the paintings are found.

The cabinet is in an attractive condition and has clearly been well loved and cared for, but shows the surface wear that is to be expected with a piece of this age. Inside the cupboard, there are some old paint marks on the flooring. Please study the photographs to get a good idea of the full condition and don't hesitate to get in touch if I can provide further photographs or any specific angles that you may wish to see.

The cabinet has two brass hanging hooks to fasten it to the wall - there is a key, but this no longer locks the cupboard doors, however they do stay closed without the need to be locked.
