Description

Good looking late 19th.c. French walnut and marble top commode c.1860. Original highly figured grey and white marble top with rounded edges, over four long drawers. Walnut veneers arranged to make a striking symmetrical chevron pattern across the front. Shaped front to the top drawer (continued on the cabinet sides), moulded pilasters flanking the three larger drawers and original wooden escutcheons (slight damage to the middle one). Matched veneers at the sides and raised on a moulded plinth. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
