A fine quality Chinese hardwood and marble table. The table is typical of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, made in a well carved hardwood and wonderfully constructed. The carving is brilliantly worked and polished in a design of stylised scrollwork. The red marble is a nice feature and sign of a better than average quality. The whole is extremely sturdy and in excellent condition except for a small missing piece of carved scrollwork. The table retains the original colour and patina with the odd mark commensurate with age. A fine and decorative table of a good useable size.
