Firmly attributed to Francois Linke (1855-1946)

A fine mahogany & ormolu mounted display cabinet of Louis XVI inspiration, firmly attributed to Francois Linke. The stepped top with central three quarter pierced gallery above a moulded frieze with gilt bronze motif of scrolling acanthus flanking a basket of flowers, above a bevelled glazed door with Vernis Martin panel to the base. The serpentine galleried glazed sides above mahogany panels, standing on turned tapered legs with toupie feet.
