This charming miniature mahogany glazed cabinet or bookcase is perfect for displaying treasured possessions, artefacts and natural history specimens (see 2nd image). The finely carved pediment dates this piece to the reign of William IV (Circa 1830) and apart from some minor restoration work the cabinet is original to that period, including the brass bolts that secure the doors and even the panes of glass. The doors are lockable with a key supplied. As far as we can tell this cabinet has always resided on top of a table or chest of drawers.

If you want it to be wall mounted, we have made a supporting batten to assist you from piece of mahogany of a similar age and finished it to match the cabinet's surface.
