An enormous 19th century Chinese porcelain vase painted in underglaze blue with a cockerel, peonies and rocks amongst trees. This baluster shaped vase has a trumpet neck and twin dogs of foo handles.

The condition is reasonably good, there is a very fine hairline to part of the body, this is not detrimental to the stability of the vase or its decorative appeal. The stand is in useable condition.

A very striking large vase to impose a very decorative impact.

This enormous nineteenth-century Chinese Qing dynasty baluster vase comes in porcelain and ceramic with a carved dark wood stand, displaying a blue and white palette and glaze finish. The vessel takes a trumpet neck shape and incorporates applied twin dogs of foo handles, alongside hand-painted floral motifs, peony motifs, rocks amongst trees, and a cockerel bird illustration. A very fine hairline appears on part of the body, while the stand remains in usable condition. Measuring 61.5 cm high, 20 cm wide, and 20 cm deep, the piece operates practically as a foyer centre decorative accent in an English country house interior.
