Description:
This is a fine quality pair of English Art Deco figured walnut two-tier occasional side tables, circa 1930, in excellent original condition. The table tops boast stunning figures walnut quarter veneers around a curved rectangular frame, supported by curved bar shaped legs, with their elegant dovetail joints visible. The legs unite the tab le top with a lower tier table. The tables retain their original Bakelite castors. The tables boast classic Art Deco styling in the overall design of the curved corners, clean lines to the top and the choice of materials. The tables also display solid English craftsmanship and construction techniques. The tables have been cleaned and traditionally French polished by hand to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore their colour and patination is of any excellent standard. Ideal for use as pair of side or lamp tables either side of the sofa, coffee tables, or as bedsides or occasional tables elsewhere in the home.
Condition Report:
This pair of English Art Deco figured walnut two-tier occasional side tables are in excellent original condition. The tables have been cleaned and traditionally French polished by hand to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore their colour and patination is of any excellent standard. No stains or cup marks or stains to the top. Nominal old used marks to the leading edges, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The top supports are sturdy and free from any breaks or damage. The tables retain their original Bakelite castors, which are in good working condition. The tables are well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
