Description

A Regency period side cabinet in the manner of John McLean .c1820. The mirrored superstructure with original plates, surmounted by a pierced brass gallery. Twin doors with quarter veneered and framed panels open to reveal two adjustable shelves. Gilt brass beading on the door fronts and gilt metal columns are all original as is the gallery. This is a fine cabinet, stunning timber and colour, retaining its original finish. Breche marble top is highly figured Some chips to leading edge, please see the detailed photograph. Both mirror plates show minor discolouration as can be seen in one of the images, but have a lovely mellow look of period glass.The narrow proportions of this cabinet make it suitable for use in a variety of rooms.
