Pair of Carved Oak Pedestals or Bedsides

Description

Circa 1890, unusual pair of well carved oak pedestals. With solid oak top and shaped and carved frieze with a foliate carved fore-edge of upright acanthus leaves and a secret drawer. Beneath this is a configuration of 3 drawers, each with a raised panel and cast brass handles with brass back plates. There are shaped pilasters which run down the facing and the base is similar with foliate carving, and standing on 4 squat bun feet.
