A 20th Cent Black Forest Cuckoo clock of impressive large size. It has the unusual feature of a small music box that plays on the hour and half hour. It is all carved wood and except for a couple of minor repairs is in good condition. All the wood animals are nicely carved and have glass eyes.
The weight driven movement is in working order but this type of clocks were never meant to be fine timepieces. A weak point is often the cuckoo bellows but these have recently been replaced. The music box and cuckoo mechanism are working ok but I can’t get the LH door with the little man in an arm chair to operate correctly, I will keep trying.
The maximum dimensions are:
87cm (34“) high
56cm (22“) wide
41cm (16“) deep
National and international delivery arranged at cost. However due to the fragile nature of this type of clock we would prefer collection.
