Fantastic quality c19th black lacquered, boulle work and brass inlaid pier cabinet or bookcase in lovely original condition.
The combination of the original boulle work with brass inlaid, brass mounts and the black lacquer make this a very decorative piece, but without being ''too much'' which, in my opinion, can be the case with the boulle work cabinets. This pier cabinet has a sense of elegance to it, but is also rather stunning.
Internally, you have three adjustable shelves, further inlays to the shelf fronts and lined with a rich red velvet.
