Description

A most attractive and useful example of a very small Victorian wall-mounted general purpose cabinet shelf. It's comprised of a lipped storage compartment with a further shelf above having a three-quarter gallery with a shaped upstand. Highest quality, beautifully figured mahogany timbers have been carefully selected in manufacture, and its original finish retains a stunning warm colour and a glowing patination. It could be used for a number of purposes; for gloves and keys by the front door, for instance. It is English, c.1875 - c.1900.
