~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
A fine and elegant original antique French Louis XVI style clock set.
To the sides are scroll brackets with acanthus leaves. To the front is a quiver of arrows and a flaming torché, emblems of cupid and love.

Candelabra are delicately modelled with acanthus supporting the two lights and a pineapple finial to the top. The dial is porcelain enamel with beautiful floral swags between the numbers and is complete with original finely fretted gilt hands and convex glass. The rear door is glazed with frosted glass and the clock set is modelled in the round for display from all angles.

The French movement is of high quality and is by Samuel Marti. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is an old replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video of the clock running, please ask.

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with some wear and discolouration. The dial is also in excellent condition just some slight chips to the winding holes. Marble has an excellent polish and just an occasional tiny nibble to the edges, one candelabra has a chip to the rear.
