Description

Fantastic quality and very decorative French Louis xv style kingwood and walnut desk top drawer set, or perhaps could be better used as a jewellery chest or collectors chest.

Would also make a great decor piece on as console or sideboard and you can place a bronze or a vase up on the top of the chest too.

Beautifully made, great style and quality. This mini chest can free stand as it is finished on all sides.

Originally, it would have been used to sit to one side on a very fine and quite large desk, or "bureau plat," but is now a stand alone piece and certainly an unusual item.

The drawers are all finished to the front with a gilt tooling to the edge of the leather and have their original handles. The drawers themselves are fabulous to look at, the way they are made and follow the "bombe" shaped sides, all in solid mahogany.
