Description:
Here is a fine quality antique English Art Deco burr walnut bedside cabinet, circa 1930, in excellent original condition. The bedside has been constructed with stunning burr walnut veneers to the side and top, as well as mirror matched veneers to the front, on a solid frame. The bedside features raised sides, which help prevent items rolling off either side. The bedside boasts an internal compartment, revealed by opening the downward-opening door, which retains the original brass circular brass knob, as well as the original brass support and the original catch, which prevents the door from accidentally falling open. The opening of the internal compartment is decorated around the perimeter with a contrasting mahogany strip to the top and sides. The bedside is raised by inverted trestle shaped legs. This bedside cabinet boasts classic Art Deco styling throughout; this is visible in the veneers, rounded corners and clean lines.

Condition Report:
This bedside cabinet is in excellent original condition, which is commensurate with its age. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The bedside features lovely mirror matched figured walnut veneers, boasting a warm mellow colour. The door closes flush to the frame and the original door closure mechanism is working. The item is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
