A late 19th century French gilt brass carriage clock, the eight day two train movement in a corniche case with carrying handle over an oval viewing glass to the original platform, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals and with the retailer’s mark of Wm Bruford & Sons, Exeter & Eastbourne. At the back a hinged door to the winding arbors and the coiled gong, the backplate stamped Made in France, and a later presentation inscription to the plinth. The clock has been fully serviced and in full working condition. Supplied with a key. French circa 1890.
