Description

This is a superb quality antique red lacquer cocktail cabinet on stand in the George I Style dating from around 1900. The cabinet is of the finest quality with a fabulous colour to the rich red lacquer and beautiful gilded detail. The parcel gilt base is hand carved in solid walnut with cabriole legs and acanthus scrolls. The upper cabinet has a great design with the fitted interior being fully lined with mirrors that have a lovely antiqued appearance. The upper section has hanging slides with finely detailed tooled brass end cappings that have the capacity to hang upwards of 50 glasses. There is a glass shelf centrally which can be adjusted in three positions. There are three serpentine fronted drawers which are fully lined in solid oak and a long mirrored pull out slide to the bottom of the cabinet for mixing cocktails. The cabinet has its original working lock and key and all the original attractively detailed good quality brassware throughout.
