A top quality Edwardian figured mahogany and inlaid safe cabinet. The moulded and cross banded top having a decorative inlaid upstand with swan neck pediment, bevel edged mirror and shelf with shaped supports. The mahogany framed door with a beautifully inlaid classical style panel in satinwood and boxwood all set within a cross banded and boxwood lined frame with applied mouldings and original brass handle. The stiles with further inlay and whole standing on an off set plinth base. The safe with brass fittings and maker’s label for “ The Bent Steel Safe Company, Safe Engineers, London & Birmingham” with a mahogany shelf above.
