Late 19th Century Chinese Penwork table top cabinet with lock and key on a later stand.

Outside garden scenes with nobles and courtiers, surrounded by sprays of foliage and flowers, inside doors - scenes of caravans of nobles on elephants, horses and camels with their retinues.

Cabinet in black lacquer, penwork on white painted panels, inside two drawers and storage painted red. In very good condition.
