E W Cousins and Son has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
Also having cross banded edge with inner ebony stringing and beaded moulded edge the side edges with vertical veneers. The ebony frieze below having the conforming floral painted decoration which also runs around the sides which have ebony strung panels with cross banded edges. The pair of central doors having cross veneered frames holding segmented veneered panels with moulded surrounds having re-entrant corners and conforming central panels painted with garlands of flowers. These flanked by plain panels and divided bu gilded fluted columns with beaded ring turnings. The mahogany interior with single shelf. Cross veneered apron below with ebony stringing on gilded fluted legs again with beaded ring turnings on vase shaped feet. The mahogany back having 4 panels stamped with registration number 519
