Description

A superb quality and unusual mahogany collectors cabinet on stand from the renown workshops of A&F Halliday of 53 & 92 High Street, Eton, Windsor who were Art Furnishers by special appointment to H.M.Queen Victoria.

The intricately carved cushion moulded top having a lidded storage compartment above the 2 panelled doors which open to wonderful interior consisting of 16 graduated and carved drawers each retaining the original gilded brass lion’s head ring handles. The lower section having a useful frieze drawer and standing on square tapering legs with spade feet and carved harebell decoration with a raised under shelf. The whole in excellent condition with good quality carved decoration and working lock and key. Dimensions:- Height...55.5''/ 141cm. Width...26''/ 66cm. Depth...15.5''/ 39.5cm.
