Description

This is a really pretty 19th century Japanese lacquer table cabinet of pagoda form dating from around 1870. The cabinet has a most attractive design with curved front and ribbed drawer to the upper section and very decorative hand painted and gilded doors inlaid with symbols and precious objects including coins for good fortune. Internally the beautifully decorated drawers are delightfully detailed and lacquered. The ornate metalware hinges, brackets and handles are painted in a deep red oxide colour and are all complete and intact.

The cabinet is raised on bracket feet and is in super condition overall.

The cabinet measures 34 cms high by 25 wide and 15 deep.
