Late 19th century mahogany display Cabinet, the rectangular top over over a gilt metal mounted mahogany parquetry door, opening to reveal an upholsterers interior with two glazed shelves. All raised up on four cabriole legs richly dressed in gilt metal mounts.

Mercier Freres was a distinguished French design studio and furniture manufacturer founded late in the 19th century in Paris in the heart of the Parisian furniture district. It was recognized as one of the leading French design firms of the late 19th century, a distinction that continued well into the 20th century.
