Spectacular Exhibition Quality Maple & Co Inlaid Mahogany Antique Display Cabinet

Of the most magnificent quality and constructed by the renowned cabinet makers Maple & Co, this spectacular cabinet dates from around 1890 and would be ideal to display all those treasured collectables. It has the most striking moulded curved top with satinwood crossbanding, boxwood and ebony string inlay with the most stunning inlaid frieze. Beneath are two astragal glazed doors with key with working lock and the interior has two adjustable shelves with the original velvet lining. Once more the sides and base are inlaid and the piece stands on elegant tapering legs with spade feet and the mahogany has aged to a warm rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
