A good late 18th century Sheraton period satinwood COLLECTORS CABINET containing a remarkably fine collection of FOSSILS.

The twin doors, with their inlaid oval panels, open to reveal eight graduated drawers, all veneered in satinwood and banded in tulipwood.

These drawers open to reveal the collection of fossils ~ over 100 in total ~ some of which are rare. They include animals; plants; ammonites; a large piece of petrified wood ~ even a sharks tooth. It is raised on its original matching satinwood stand terminating block feet. 41ins high overall; 20ins wide; 16ins deep. (104 x 51 x 40.5cms)
