This undulating central section encloses the bevelled glass brass bezel, with Gothic tear drop finials separating the rose coloured panels below the dial, and all flanked by corner case columns essentially wrapped in what are stylised flying buttresses. Below is a broad concave and stepped architectural base. The sides of the case also exhibit Gothic wooden panels with a door at the back also in the beehive shape with rectilinear rose glass panel.

The wooden, carved dial has bas style relief fretwork around the porcelain cartouche Roman numerals.
