Description:
Here is a fine quality antique pair of French mahogany; marble & satinwood inlaid two-tier bedside cabinets, with an art nouveau influence, circa 1900, in good original condition. The bedsides boast top quality grey and brown variegated freestanding marble tops, which sit above an oak-lined draw, constructed with hand dovetail joints, decorated with satinwood string inlay to the drawer fronts. The marble tops are ideal for placing hot drinks on without the fear or the bedsides being marked. Square pillars support the middle section of the bedside this area is useful for storing items or decorative items. To the bottom of the bedsides, is an elegant arched panel and moulded door, incorporating satinwood sting inlay with a central satinwood shell motif, along with the original knob, with a ceramic lined interior. The drawer and cupboard feature their original brass handles and closes flush to the frame. The door cupboards close firmly on a spring-loaded latch. The cabinets terminate on elegant tapered spindle legs.

The bedsides feature rich red mahogany colour. As they boast the original polish, they have a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning they have received.

The bedsides would look superb in a variety of rooms from the living room to the bedroom. They would certainly grace any home and are a great investment as they are extremely functional. So don’t miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.
