George III Mahogany Double Corner Cabinet

Description

Fine original condition example of a George III Scottish mahogany double corner cabinet. The base with single cupboard door with a single shelf inside with original moulded plinth base. The top section with 18 pane astragal glazed door with virtually all the original wavy glass. Nice shape cornice above. There are no warps to the doors and both retain locks with working keys, the top lock is original, the base lock is an old Victorian replacement. The cabinet splits in the middle for transportation. All the original backboards.

The piece has the original finish and is a lovely colour with great patination.

There is a tiny hairline crack to one piece of glass but you have to look very hard to see it.

SIZES; 80" tall overall. 26" across the front. 24" square.
