They each benefit from shaped gallery tops (which stops items falling off the tops of the bedsides). Below there is a practical open storage cupboard area, with decorative gothic / medieval cross-shaped openings on the sides, which double up as carrying handles. The fronts of the cabinets boast a lovely serpentine moulded design with a single small drawer below. The drawers retain their original brass knobs. The bedsides boast a pretty shaped apron and are raised on fine cabriole legs.
These bedsides boast a mellow brown walnut colour. They have a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
These bedsides would look superb in a variety of rooms from the living room to the bedroom. They would certainly grace any home, in either a traditional or contemporary setting; they are a great investment as they are extremely functional. Condition Report:
These bedside cabinets are in good original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. Importantly, the bedsides tops are free of water / cup marks. The drawers are smooth running and close flush to the frame and retain their original brass knobs. The cabinets stand firm on the ground and do not wobble. They are well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
