Each bedside cupboard boasts elegant round tops, with an inverted moulding below. The same design is mirrored in the design of plinths. The bedsides each have a hinged cupboard that features a lovely scalloped moulding. The cupboard doors open to reveal two working drawers at the top, with two sliding trays below.
The drawer linings even feature quarter beading to the frames; which is a true sign of quality. The bedsides retain their original working locks (with a working key) to the sides of the cupboards.

The bedsides stand on their original top quality rounded mahogany plinths. The chests are constructed of top quality solid mahogany timber imported from the colonies during the Victorian period. The quality is reflected in the weight of these bedsides; they are heavy to lift!

Condition Report:
These adapted bedside chests are in excellent condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. There are no cup marks, ink stains to the tops of the bedsides. Please note, any colour variation to the tops of the bedsides is due to the natural variation in the grain configuration and patination; this is not a defect or marks to the polish – this is entirely natural. The drawers are smooth running and close flush to the frame. The cupboards feature their original working locks (with key). These bedsides are constructed of top quality solid mahogany; the figured mahogany gives a superb colour and patination. The quality is reflected in the weight of these bedsides; they are heavy to lift! They are solid in joint and ready to use.
