Impressive Victorian Figured Walnut Inlaid Antique Pier Cabinet

This Impressive Victorian Figured Walnut Inlaid Antique Pier Cabinet ca 1870 has a beautifully figured top with a superb ebonized moulded edge above a beautifully inlaid frieze with decorative brass edge and brass corbels, the sides are also beautifully inlaid. The two glazed doors are equipped with a key with working lock and the interior comprises of two shelves with the original worn velvet lining. This outstanding antique stands on a figured plinth with the original backboards. The walnut has aged to a warm golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
