A stunning pair of Victorian pier display cabinets. The cabinets are in strongly figured walnut inlaid in different woods with floral sprays and scrolls. The cabinets are mounted with ormolu mounts and moulding to the doors, with images of tritons amongst scrollwork. The cabinets are in wonderful untouched condition and all original. The colour is warm and bright with a great shiny patina. The interiors are lined with the original velvet and the shelves are fixed. The whole are in perfect condition right down to the keys working in the locks. C.1860
