Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1900s.
It has a raised shaped back above a beautifully figured top with satinwood cross banded edge with a boxwood and ebony string inlay. The cupboard door has exactly the same inlays and the original brass handle. The interior comprises of one removable oak lined shelf and stands elegantly on four tapering legs. The mahogany has aged to a rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
