Aesthetic Victorian ash (similar to oak, but lighter in colour and fewer knots) glazed library display cabinet or lectern. Rare and attractive piece of furniture. This is a lovely quality piece, that is full of age charm and character. Beautiful patina and colour...a rare find, with a quality feel. This piece has a later lift up leather writing surface with some wear and marks.

As with all genuine antique furniture, you can expect to see some historic knocks, marks, wear, imperfections, cracks, scratches, repairs and/or alterations. No key and the lock is untested. Historic woodworm holes (believed extinct) that we have treated for good measure.

Overall maximum dimensions: 66.5cm wide, 48cm deep, 97cm high (with the writing slope down). Bottom plus 5 fixed shelves, each 58cm wide, 40cm deep, with 22cm space above the bottom and then 10cm above each of the others (except the top one which has 8cm).
