Art Nouveau Side Cabinet C.1900.

Description

Stylish and unusual cherrywood side cabinet c.1900 by the Hungarian makers Mahunka Imre of Budapest – one of the cities where the Art Nouveau style set down its strongest roots. Singular design with a small glazed top section over a two door cupboard base with pink silk lining to both. With two useful drawers in the waist and an open shelf at stretcher level. Beautiful mellow coloured timber decorated with carved flowerheads and inlaid heart and leaf motif to the door front. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Original key supplied, stamped Mahunka Imre Budapest.

Dimensions: width 36", depth 19", height 61".

Please note we also have a matching 4' wide single bed
