They each have internal siding trays, with a single drawer to the top section and in one of the bedsides; there is a large working drawer. The slides and drawers feature hand dovetailed joints, mahogany drawer linings. The bedsides have hinged working doors which feature moulded beading and a decorative floral carving to the top centre of the door. Each of the doors features a working lock and key. The tops of the bedsides feature practical “splash backs” to help items falling off the tops of the bedsides behind them. Each bedside chest boasts traditional round cornered moulded edges to the top and the bedsides sit on matching rounded plinths. Both chests are constructed of solid mahogany timber finished with a superb solid mahogany finish.

These adapted bedside chests are in good condition. Nominal old use marks and movement to the exterior frame and leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. These items are solid in joint and ready to use.
