French Writing Cabinet

Description

An exceptional quality French ebonised Escritoire Writing Cabinet beautifully inlaid with a rope twist design of brass, mother of pearl and tulip wood. The sides have double brass string inlay and the front is finished with extremely good quality ormolu mounts, escutcheons, and moulds. The Cabinet still retains its original white carerra marble top. All five drawers are oak lined.

Inside, the Cabinet is veneered in birds eye maple and tulip wood and has a fitted leather hide writing surface which complements the interior.

Height - 52 ½ inches

Width - 29 inches

Depth - 14 inches
