Description

A stunning antique mahogany inlaid jewellery bijouterie glazed cabinet of a highly desirable design which has stood the test of time. Undoubtedly this curio collectors display cabinet is by the premier makers Edwards and Roberts of London. It is in outstanding condition and has the more sought after bevelled glass top and glazed side panels with a cream silk lined interior. The marquetry top inlaid with exotic timbers and original pen work and cross banded in satinwood. This piece uses the more expensive and desirable fiddle back mahogany with double inverted crinoline stretchers uniting the shaped boxwood line inlaid legs. Circa 1900. Measures 25”w x 14”d x 30”h.
