Here is a pair of very good quality antique carved floral oak bedside cabinets, circa 1900 - 1920.
The sides of frame are elegantly carved with floral leaves down the sides of bedsides. Below, there is an open storage area and towards the bottom is a small cupboard. Each cabinet is hinged on opposite sides to so go each side of the bed. The fronts of the cabinets boast a rectangular design and the whole of cabinet sits on small cabriole legs with a floral carved shaped frieze. The drawer linings are constructed of solid oak. They have been waxed polished, which is what gives them their lovely patination and original colour. These bedsides chests boast the classic French chateau styling that you see in furniture of this period.
These bedsides are in excellent original condition and this is what gives them their lovely patination and colour, which has been generated by the years of cleaning and care they have received.

Condition Report:
These bedside cabinets are in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item (see photos). Importantly, the bedsides tops are free of watermarks and ink stains. The drawers are smooth running and close flush to the frame. The drawer linings are constructed of solid oak. The brass fretwork handles are original. The cabinets stand firm on the ground and do not wobble. Free of woodworm, solid in joint and ready to use.
