This is a superb quality pair of antique Victorian flame mahogany bedside chests, circa 1860 – 1880.
Each bedside chest boasts traditional round cornered molded edges. Both chests are constructed of top quality solid mahogany timber finished with a superb solid mahogany finish. During this period, England was imported top quality timber from its colonies.
Condition Report:
These adapted bedside chests are in excellent condition and commensurate with their age. Nominal old use marks but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The drawers are smooth running and close flush to the frame. The drawers are mahogany drawer lined which is a sign of superb quality. The solid mahogany gives a superb colour and patination. Free of woodworm, solid in joint and ready to use.
