Superb Quality Antique Victorian Figured Walnut Bedside Cabinet

This antique Victorian bedside cabinet dates from around 1890 and is of superb quality being constructed from a beautiful figured walnut. It has a raised moulded back above a rectangular wonderfully figured moulded top framed with pollard oak cross banding along with boxwood and ebony string inlay. The central cupboard door has the original Art Nouveau handle, and a beautifully figured panel, again framed by cross banding and string inlay. The interior of the cupboard contains a single removable shelf and stands on an ogee shaped moulded plinth with quality leaf carved corners and shaped bracket feet. It still retains the original oak back boards and has aged to a lovely warm mellow shade of walnut with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
