Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1890s.
It has a moulded cornice, with dental moulding, above two astragal glazed doors with key and working lock. The interior has three fixed shelves to maximize display options. The lower edge is moulded while the sides have elegant boxwood string inlay decoration. The mahogany has aged to a medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
