It has a rectangular top with a boxwood string inlay decorative edge above a deep frieze, again decorated with boxwood string inlay, a wonderful contrast to the ebony finish. The central glazed door has a key with working lock and opens to allow access to the interior which contains three removable shelves with the original velvet lining. With glazed sides to maximize light this beautiful piece stands on a moulded plinth again decorated with boxwood string inlay. This unusual vintage piece has a wonderful ebonised finish, perfect for displaying colourful, bright treasures within. It has a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
