They each have moulded tops with three working drawers below that feature dovetailed joints and the original metal circular knobs. Below sits a shaped and carved frieze. The fronts of the cabinets boast a lovely serpentine design to the front and sides of the chests and the whole sits on cabriole legs with a carved frame. The drawer linings are constructed of oak. These bedsides chests boast the classic French chateau styling that you see in furniture of this period.

Condition Report:
These bedside cupboards are in excellent condition considering their age. Nominal old use marks but nothing significant considering the age of the item. Importantly, the bedsides are free of watermarks and ink stains to the tops. The drawers are smooth running and close flush to the frame. The drawer linings are constructed of solid oak; the drawer bottoms are constructed of plywood. Free of woodworm, solid in joint and ready to use.
