Description

Although not strictly part of our oriental collection it would be difficult to leave this superb little cabinet out of that category, made from solid pearwood in the oriental manner by the famous Paris furniture maker gabrielle viardot .

This great cabinet has a stepped pagoda top with a bronze dragon seemingly climbing out of the centre section to protect the goods inside, behind the single door sits a stepped fretted top shelf above further shelf space below, all lined in a great bright golden baize , the lower carved doors reveal a pair of fully adjustable shelves above a fretted and pierced plinth base.

The sides are further decorated and the back boards are also solid pannelled timber, rather unusually the cabinet is signed in the lower left hand side panel , a sure sign of its importance !!

Great condition and ready to house your prized collection ,size is everything and this will fit into all room settings , comes with both original keys .
