Very well crafted with moulded edges to top and bottom.
This creates a stunning appearance as the light shines through.
The interior contains two original glass shelves mounted on adjustable iron bars with brackets. Depending on the size of the items to be displayed, an additional shelf could easily be accommodated. The interior base is mahogany.
There are two original brass lever closures to the exterior as well as the original lock and key. The interior doors have two brass slide bolt locks. A hasp has been mounted on the rear to hold a padlock for additional security if needed. If not, the holes are easily filled.
Size-42 inches wide by 16 inches deep, or 18 inches deep inclusive of arch projection, by 65 inches high to top of arch (flat top adjacent to arch is 59.5 inches high).
The etched glass panels within the wood framed rear doors measure 15 inches wide by 47 inches high each.
In very good antique condition overall, with one stable crack near the top corner of one clear side glass, and a piece missing from the back corner of one remoavable inner shelf.
Great piece to use for display of collectables at home or for retail shop use.
A beautifully crafted and very functional and attractive display cabinet, as well as an excellent talking point.
There are not many true antique survivors of display cabinets from this era, and certainly none with such fine quality stunning etched glass doors.
